Thesis about cozy stuff

I know I surely am the only one who's missing cold weather and scarfs and wool and stuff, and I'm pretty sure I will change my mind next month when the very first Fashion Week (note: New York September 6) begin, so then I'll be praying for summer one more time, but a little bit out of time, I'm affraid. Anyway, if one day I had to pick just one piece to live all the winter with (what a depressed thought my god!) it would be jumpers.

Jumpers or sweaters are certainly a must-have. They are cozy and confortable and, above all, easy to wear. And the good news: they're a trend this season, so it will be a piece of cake to find the better ones whether at Zara, H&M or Topshop, as some pretty good options (financially speaking!).

The first one is Proenza Schouler. And I love it because reminds me X-Mas holidays (also known as the best part of all winter!), don't ask me why!!

Plus:
1. Mulberry
2. and 4. Stella McCartney
3. Marc Jacobs
5. Mary Katrantzou
6. and 7. Burberry Prorsum.

The styling is up to you. But you can e-mail me about it if you want...

New in!

So, at first, I've to say that I'm well aware about what I said a couple a days ago... "I'm not the biggest fan of bordeaux", but with so many stimuli (everywhere, actually!), it has been hard to resist. So I was not!!
Anyway... This tee is from H&M, a basic one (H&M's basics are amazing, indeed!), that I bought recently, as the pants, which fit perfectly by the way. BUT this is not the only reason why I'm here today: I found the most amazing boots at Zara this afternoon. Hail Valentino! I'm ready to wear you next London Fashion Week!!

Obsession?

Hey everyone! I just came here to share with all of with that I'm absolutely crazy with these Miu Miu shoes. I wanna all of them...

To the second floor, please!

YES!,
I do love super-high heels (and, honestly, I can handle the pain for a different world perspective's sake in an almost stoic way!!) but I'm NOT a  fan of simple-and-low wedges and end of story (I guess I just have two lonely and quiet pairs in my closet). But lately I'm finding myself worshiping something between stilettos and simple wedges (that's the way I see and classify all that stuff!): something useful to lift us directly to the second floor (the first floor belong to stilettos), something much more ergonomic and comfortable than those 'ladies like' shoes. So I'm definitely in love by platforms.

The guy with a pair of yellow sneakers

I find pretty interesting the fashionable side of the music. The music done by the guys because, as you should have noticed, the music done by girls always is another level of  all the fashion industry. And I guess Julian is one of these guys. A man with the perfect rock star style, sexy and too much talented. But he actually also has his own path on fashion business: he did part of a TV commercial  for Converse and the face (and voice!) of a Azzaro's fragrance, Decibel. Anyway... this guy brought us neon sneakers at first and and also started wearing mirrored sunglasses before everyone, so he he is a trend setter, don't you agree?? Apart from everything else, today is his birthday, I'm missing The Strokes and waiting the V album as soon as possible so, today, girls, Julian Casablancas for everyone!!

Luxury. Pageantry. Ostentation.

Since I remember of myself, I do prefer necklaces above all the others small jewelry. And earrings. Rings are a recent passion. But today I just wanna talk about necklaces and the power that they may assert . Well, I guess power is a personal thought about it but, when I see Miroslava Duma with the most stunning neck adornments, all I can figure are Russian Czars and Russian Empire and Russian Palaces and gold and stuff like that... Plus: Anna Wintour always has a collar around her neck. So POWER is a good word, now I'm pretty sure.
Anyway... this is not a new trend, but it's something that is coming back in strength. You can mix two or more items, but never forget the rule: BE STRONG! Cause in that case, MORE IS MORE!!

Pretty in pink

Shame on me. I watched The Aviator for the first time last week. Once again. Shame.One.Me. And I didn't even know that Gwen Stefani was part of the cast. Shame on me!! But I remember that I asked myself the reason why she was like herself on the film?? So, I quickly undid my doubts: because she is like that, and cannot be like anyone else. Her style is iconic as her red lipstick is. Anyway, despite of this shameful fact, the truth is that I saw the film at the right time: No Doubt are coming back and Gwen is the September cover girl of Harper's Bazaar, photographed by Terry Richardson. Glamorous as always!

OUTFIT: Parallel reality

Walking on such beautiful places, somewhere where I could not live even for a week (no mobile network, could you imagine??)... but where I found very friendly and smart people. These was my last two days, so I'm sharing some photos from my second day at some hidden places of Portugal.

The key!

Hey everyone!! Next two days I'll be a little bit, hmm... actually, completly out, with no blog update at all, just out and about the countryside, so I'm packing right now. BUT, with this crazy weather I had to revise all my plans, AKA find-a-replacement-of-bikini, and the winner was a FEDORA!! I've a H&M exemplar from last season, but I Love Eugenia Kim ones so much...
XOXO, H.

Golden Day

A day after the only one closing ceremony of Olympic games that I ever saw, I'm just able to say that it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!! My eyes shone during all the Spice moment (Victoria was stunning in a Giles Deacon dress), but the MOMENT for me was (and I don't give a shit if it is just a cliché to talk about it today!), for sure, all the supermodels situation. So I couldn't not to share the Olympic Fashion Shoot of British Vogue. Summarizing: David Gandy is a GOD (just saying...) and Kate and Karen and Naomi and Georgia and Stella and Jourdan and Lily(s) (am I forgetting anyone??) added some glamour on all the ceremony. But I guess Brazil also have too much potencial at this level...

Playing Super Heroes

This kinda of obsession with Roy Lichtenstein stuff started almost an year ago. As you should know, I was in London attending a fashion styling course at CSM, and the teacher told us to go to TATE Modern, get some inspiration, and then create a new trend for next fall (what actually means the fall that will begin next month!). Anyway, perhaps too much obvious, but the truth is that after a couple of hours searching for something that I didn't know exactly what would be, I stopped in front of this Lichtenstein picture, and I just suddenly got what I was looking for... and it was the beginning of my work, cause I found out that I wanted COLOR!!!
Well, all that story just to talk about this Super Hero trend, that Phillip Lim showed us last season, and we can found at Markus Lupfer collection available HERE and HERE. So, my obsession with Pop Art and Lichtenstein and Super Heroes will be knitted this fall, what actually means good news, girls, cause after all, sweater + jeans + (the perfect pair of) shoes = amazing casual and easy outfit!!!

Presenting black... the new one

I was not the biggest fan of bordeaux, but Alexander Wang got me thinking about it for the next season. So maybe with some grey, or yellow (Burberry inspiration!) or even pink (I really like the mix!), well, maybe I'll do it and wear hmmm... a pair of gloves??! Well, who knows if I'll change my mind?

Anyone else convinced??

OUTFIT: Almost romantic

The carousel at Louis Vuitton fashion show last season was one of the presentations that I liked the most. Absolutely sweety and romantic, white and sugar and cupcakes, kind of perfect, something that led to the biggest trend this summer. Anyway... the truth is that I loved the dresses, and the shoes (everything, I mean!!), but I've been a little bit skeptical about put all this candy stuff together in real life. So, if it actually is not my thing, you know, just a romantic or sweetie look, I've decided to styled my new dress from Zara, totally Louis Vuitton's inspiration, in another way, with something that I see as a closet's basic, a biker jacket.

Zara dress
H&M biker jacket (last season)
Mango clutch
H&M rings, bracelet and (oooold) shoes

An easy way

I guess sometimes what really matter is not a splendid dress, or an awesome pair of shoes, or even the perfect hairstyle. Sometimes, it's all about ATTITUDE!!

So today I'm pretty obsessed with Fearne Cotton in a little white dress styled with coloured sandals and a maxi clutch. I think she looks so much beautiful in such a simple and fresh ensemble.
