He's not a portuguese in Paris

He is a part of Paris.
I mean, as Viktor and Rolf aren't dutch guys in Paris, you know?!

Felipe Oliveira Baptista

is bringing something new and I like it. As I like the Zebra prints that suddenly show up in this A/W collection...something wild and fresh matching up with so structured lines

So it's time to think about it: I think we have an issue in Portugal that keep us far, far away of the international fashion business. Ok, we say the government don't support designers and artists... bla bla bla!
It's more than that.
We don't know how to handle with the two gold keys for a fashion blockbuster. I'm talking about the two C's

Creative and Comercial

Sometimes I see very comercial and beautifull collections which don't bring nothing new to fashion. Sometimes I see very creative collections, done by awesome artists or designers that, unfortunatly, are impossible to be dressed, to be sold. And I guess it keep us small (just in the business,ok?!) , but it is only me!

In fact, I belive we can do it better. And it happens sometimes...but we have to turn it in a rule!

The dark side

When someone talk to me about Milan Fashion Week, my brain leads me to a place where the colour is rule, as the sensuality of Gucci, Pucci or Dolce & Gabbana is rule.
However, this season the colour remained outside the catwalk (talking about street style, obviously!). But this was the only broken rule.

Black was a gothic romanticism at Gucci

Black had a geometric side at Prada

Black was exotic at Emilio Pucci

Black was very, very Sicilia at Dolce & Gabbana.

For sure there was more than black in Milan, but I’m the #1 fan of the black club and, as I said before, I’m trying to do a wish list, so...

I guess black is not a trend anymore. Black is law. (At least it will be next autumn/winter)

Happened yesterday...

Perhaps I should talking about Oscars dresses today. But I guess the Vanity Fair party that succeeds the Oscars is like the Oscars part II.
So I'm fine, anyway!

And I would like to share the dresses that really surprised myself...

Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein

Elizabeth Olsen in Christian Dior

Olga Kurylenko in Georges Hobeika
Zoe Saldana in Marios Schwab

Claire Danes in Valentino

But there are a huge flaw in this post! I'm just talking about the Vanity Fair party, so a question emerges: "where is Gwyneth?", cause she was the biggest star yesterday, so it is not fair, and I have to talk about her.

Well, after all, I have to talk about the Oscars...

At the Oscars, Gwyneth Paltrow won, wearing the perfection of the simplicity, in a Tom Ford gown-and-cape.
She couldn't be mentioned above just because at the Vanity Fair party she took off the cape (and suddenly a part of the dress passed away!), but over here, she is just
GORGEOUS!

Burberry and I (a day after!)

Just arrived from London... to share a wonderful expirience.
At first, I have to say that Christopher Bailey did the London's "big hitter", citing British Vogue.
Amazing tweed coats and t-shirts with partridges and owls sketched on them made me fall in love...
And I'm inviting all of you to see the incredible runway show, that ends up with the Burberry's weather control...yeah! Suddenly the heaven trembled and started raining outside the tent sited in the Kensigton Garden.

Apart from the runway... a great front row! Kate Bosworth, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Mario Testino, Will.I.Am, Poppy Delevingne, Alexa Chung... I took the photos at the backstage! And I've to say that finally I figured out why Alexa Chung is the new BFC young style ambassador: she shines, she rocks!
Take e look...

So I really hope you like the show so much as I did!
XoXo!

Christopher Kane's day

Just a few days before his presentation at London Fashion Week (it will take place next monday), I would like to pay my tribute to Christopher Kane.
I think he's kind of an inspiration for all the young designers. His work is always totally original, as an ode to all the unconventional materials.
I'm talking about

fashionable croché dresses,

incredible clutches filled with colored liquid,

 wonderful neon-lace pieces

His next step... we don't know!
So
 by now...
 I'm looking back,
I'm wondering his amazing job!

Wish list #2

No time to post...
No time to sleep...
My hair is a mess...
Dark circles reaching my feet...
Scary!!
But now I'm coming back... to continue my wish list.
And Kate and Laura Mulleavy helped me. I'm sending my invitation to all of you to take a look and enjoy!!

Marilyn wearing H&M

Another H&M red carpet moment.

Happened yesterday at the BAFTA Awards, with Michelle Williams. She stepped on the red carpet in a custom made H&M gown, with Olympia Le-Tan clutch and Forevermark jewelry.

Thank god the news is "an H&M dress on the red carpet", instead "how beautiful this H&M dress is"... because I actually don't really like the dress. But I loved the match up!
